Eileen McNamara (author of “Eunice”) will discuss the life and times of Eunice Kennedy Shriver in Wellesley on Oct. 16 at 7pm. Kennedy Shriver’s efforts on behalf of the intellectually disabled left behind one of the Kennedy family’s most profound political legacies. While Joe Kennedy was grooming his sons for the White House, his Stanford-educated daughter Eunice was tapping her father’s fortune and her brothers’ political power to engineer one of the great civil rights movements of our time.
McNamara was given full access to all of Eunice’s papers. Sponsored by and held at UU Wellesley Hills, 309 Washington St. For more information: call 781-235-7423 or go to http://www.uuwellesley.org/
