Over 600 walkers, 100 volunteers, and at least three dogs took part in Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s 9th Annual Hope Walks event, raising more than $187,000 to benefit cancer care at Newton-Wellesley.
Funds raised from this event benefit the Hospital’s Integrative Support Services, providing cancer patients access to life-saving treatments and highly individualized, compassionate care that considers their physical, mental and emotional well-being. These services include: nutrition and genetic counseling, yoga, psycho-social services, patient navigation, survivorship initiatives as well as the Pappas PACT (Parenting at a Challenging Time), a parent guidance program for patients with children impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
