The Foundation for MetroWest’s Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) program, which provides middle and high school students with educational and philanthropic opportunities, is seeking applications for the Wellesley Youth in Philanthropy program. Now
entering its fifth year, the program represents a partnership between The Fund for Wellesley and the Foundation for MetroWest.
YIP is a semester-long extracurricular program designed for students interested in learning more about nonprofit organizations and the needs that exist in their own community (no fees or tuition to participate). YIP students research local organizations and award $10,000 in grants.
The program will begin January 7, 2019 and will be held every Monday, 7pm – 8:30pm at the Wellesley Police Station in the Kingsbury Room, until a graduation event in late May. Applications will be accepted online at www.yipmetrowest.org until December 7, 2018. Current high school students who live or learn in Wellesley are eligible to apply.
