Wellesley Middle School 6th graders, in a project-based learning effort, presented at the Wellesley School Committee last week about their local heroes. The Hero-Ocracy project, which involved research, community outreach and public speaking, recognized the likes of Wellesley Animal Control Officer Sue Webb, research assistant and recent Wellesley College grad Amanda Hernandez, Wellesley Wonder Woman Carol Chaoui, and Boston Police Commissioner William Gross.
