Wellesley woman killed by falling ice while hiking in New Hampshire

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department has notified news organizations that a 57-year-old Wellesley woman was hit by a falling piece of ice on Sunday and suffered fatal injuries.

The woman, whose name has not been released publicly by officials, had been hiking with family and friends on the Frankenstein Cliff Trail in Hart’s Location, NH., among the White Mountains. Associated Press reports that “multiple agencies responded to the scene and the woman was taken to a hospital where she later died.”
