Wellesley Education Foundation is hosting the third annual Wellesley Creates (formerly known as Wellesley CreateAthon) on March 16th from 10am to 4pm at Wellesley High School. This one day event is organized entirely by Wellesley High School computer science students. At Wellesley Creates, high school and middle school students work in teams to create an app to that solves a real-life environmental, education or health issue in Wellesley.
- Open to middle and high school students who live or go to school in Wellesley – a total of 80 participants will be able to attend
- No programming experience is necessary – students will be paired with a mentor who helps them learn MIT App Inventor
- Wellesley Creates is free to the public
- Winners will be recognized at the Wellesley STEM Expo on April 6, 2019
