The Wellesley Council on Aging (COA) wants to hear from you.
The COA is seeking input from residents and patrons on how to better meet their needs beyond the current operating hours at the Tolles Parsons Center. The Center is now open for business Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm.
Are you interested in visiting the Center, participating in programs and accessing services at other times of the day or during weekends? Complete a short survey to share your thoughts. Participation is voluntary and answers are confidential.
The survey is included in the February utility bills sent to residents; interested participants may also pick up copies of the survey at the Tolles Parsons Center at 500 Washington Street.
All surveys must be completed no later than March 15, 2019.
I took the survey, and it’s just a quick five or six questions. It seems to assume that survey takers will want to expand the hours. There’s no question that says should the hours should be expanded? It’s more like which hours should be expanded. So if you think the hours are fine the way they are you’ll have to speak up in a box that allows you to expand on your answers.

I have often thought that it is strange that the Senior Center is closed on weekends. What do people who are dependent on weekday programs (such as lunch and social activities) do on weekends?
