The Friends of the Wellesley Free Libraries will present their annual Arnold Lecture Tuesday February 26th, 7pm, in the Wakelin Room at the Wellesley Free Library. This year, the Arnold Lecture will feature Kerri Maher, local author of The Kennedy Debutante, a historical fiction novel about Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy, sister of John F. Kennedy. The novel explores Kick’s adventures in London while her father, Joseph Kennedy, serves as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom at the onset of WWII. Kerri’s friend and colleague, Kip Wilson, will serve as moderator of the discussion. Kip is the author of White Rose, a YA novel-in-verse about anti-Nazi political activist Sophie Scholl. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served and books will be available for purchase.
