Congrats to the Wellesley High School girls’ hockey team, which beat Notre Dame Academy 3-2 in overtime at the Garden in Boston for the Division 2 state title.

Emily Rourke’s goal off a pass from sister LuLu sealed the Raiders’ repeat title with less than 20 seconds left in the first overtime period (See also, “Sister act a winner for Wellesley”)
The Raiders entered the second period down 1-0, but scored twice in that period. Senior Devin Chapman got WHS on the board, then freshman Danielle Cimino put Wellesley up 2-1. Notre Dame tied the game at 2-2 later in the second.
Wellesley tested Notre Dame’s defense throughout the game, outshooting the Cougars 47-14.
