An Apple TV film crew has descended on Monadnock Road this week in Wellesley, and we suspect it is to shoot part of a new crime drama series based on Newton author William Landay’s bestseller “Defending Jacob.” Stars reportedly include Chris Evans of Captain America fame and Michelle Dockery of Downton Abbey, and the production is going by the name “Cortex,” which is likely just a code name for the series.

This photo, shared by resident Peter Chapman, shows what he says is “just a small fraction of the vehicles parked on the street.”

Reports of filming have also surfaced in Natick, Framingham and Newton.
