Nearly 1,000 Wellesley Middle School students take part in mini-marathon

In the wake of last month’s Boston Marathon, about 1,000 Wellesley Middle School students ran, walked or did some of each around the 2-mile Sprague playing fields course for the annual mini-marathon.

 

The April 25 event, organized by the Wellesley Middle School Fitness and Health staff in partnership with the Parent Teacher Organization, is conducted in the spirit of fun and fitness. But the top 3 male and female finishers in each grade were also recognized.
