Wellesley has named James Manzolini, a longtime Department of Public Works (DPW) employee, as the new Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF) superintendent. He succeeds Jeff Azano-Brown, who was promoted to the position of DPW assistant director earlier this year.
Manzolini has been with the DPW’s Engineering Division since 2013, with his most recent role serving as Civil Engineer in charge of the Street Occupancy Permit Program. Previously, he was the owner and director of operations for a private moving company and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a Minor in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Manzolini will be looking for public input on ways to keep the RDF thriving amidst a challenging recycling climate fueled by changes in China’s policies. You can reach him at jmanzolini@wellesleyma.gov
