Artist spotlight: Michelle Jung at Page Waterman, Gallery & Framing

SPONSORED POST: A multi-faceted artist event featuring Michelle Jung will take place through June 8 at Page Waterman, Gallery & Framing in Wellesley Square at 592A Washington St. The week-long show will feature oil on canvas paintings by Michelle Jung. The artist is nationally recognized for her large-scale works of contemporary realism featuring atmospheric seascapes and coastal settings. A special painting demonstration by Jung on Saturday, June 8, 3pm to 6 pm brings the event to a conclusion. Get all the details here.

“My hope is to bring attention to the importance of protecting our environment through the historical tradition and practice of representational oil painting,” said Jung.

Jung received an MFA in Painting in 2013 at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA. Awards and honors include: Alden Bryan Memorial Award for Landscape from The Guild of Boston Artists 2019 Members Juried Exhibition; 2019 Finalist for the Art Renewal Center’s 14th Annual International Salon; Jurors’ Award for the California Art Club Exhibition: Rural Places and Urban Spaces.

All events at Page Waterman, Gallery & Framing are open to the public.

About Page Waterman, Gallery & Framing

Now celebrating 102 years of art and custom framing in Wellesley Square, Page Waterman is one of New England’s oldest galleries and picture framing companies. It has been in continuous operation since 1917 and is well known for its custom picture framing expertise and distinctive collection of fine art. Part of its legacy are the thousands of pictures hanging in the area’s homes which were framed or purchased from the gallery. Page Waterman also provides restoration services for oil paintings and antique picture frames.
