Paint may be dropped off for recycling at the Wellesley Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF) on Saturday, July 6, (and the first Saturday of each month through October), from 9am to 1pm. The following materials are accepted: Interior and exterior latex paint, interior and exterior oil based alkyd paint, and solidified paint.
If your paint cans just have dried paint in them, they can go in to the general trash compactors at the dump.
Materials that are not accepted are: creosote and turpentine, other solvents, and unmarked containers. These materials may be brought to the RDF on Household Hazardous Products Collection Day, which will take place Sunday, May 3, 2020. If you don’t want to wait until next year, here is a link to local drop-off centers.
Paint is available for taking from the shed during regular RDF hours except from 9am to 1pm on the scheduled paint drop-off days.
