Another Wellesley gas release to happen on August 27

From the Town of Wellesley:

Algonquin Gas will perform the second of two planned natural gas releases in Wellesley and adjacent areas on Tuesday, August 27.

The release locations are at the valve site near 68 Walnut Street in Wellesley and Quinobequin Road in Newton, and at the Needham meter and regulator site on Mary Chilton Road, adjacent to the Wellesley Recycling and Disposal Facility.

The releases are needed due to maintenance work on the gas lines.

Venting will begin in the mid- to late-morning and is expected to be completed within three hours. There will be a slight odor and noise associated with this work.

Gas company personnel will be on site throughout the release process and maintenance work. This release replaces the one originally planned for August 31.
