Chris Dowd, a Wellesley High graduate who owns Prospero’s Shoe Repair at 294 Washington St., in Wellesley, is permanently closing the shop on Aug. 31 due to illness. The shop has actually been closed for some time this summer, and Dowd’s friends and family have been helping him return shoes and other items to customers.
For those customers who have not picked up items yet, please call Andy at 617-852-9803 and he will work with you to arrange a time to meet at the shop for pick-up.
In addition, the shop will be open for pick-ups on the following days prior to the final closing on Aug. 31.
- Aug. 26 10am – 4pm
- Aug. 27 10am – 4pm
- Aug. 28 10am – 4pm
- Aug. 29 10am – 4pm
Dowd bought the shop, formerly David’s Shoe Repair, back in 2014.
