Wellesley continues to look for a planning director, and is on its second interim director since former chief Michael Zehner departed this past winter. The planning director is the town’s point person on land use, zoning and more.
Victor Panak, who has been a senior planner for the town, was named interim director at the start of this year, but he moved on over the summer to become a planner for the town of Brookline. Laura Harbottle, who has been a planner on Cape Cod and in Scituate, has been serving as Wellesley’s interim planning director.
The deadline to apply for the Wellesley Planning Director job passed earlier this month. The Planning Board hopes to schedule a first round of interviews soon.
