September 21, 2019 by Bob Brown 6 Comments

Wellesley is about to go from 6 Dunkin’ Donuts shops to a mere 5, as the Wellesley Square Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins is set to shut down on Sept. 27.

That shop opened 6 years ago.

Wellesley will still have 2 Dunkin’ Donuts shops on Rte. 9, one at Babson College, another in Lower Falls and one more on Linden Street.

(Thanks to @PapaMoPo for the tip.)

Now if we could only get fewer real estate offices, banks and “personal” care spas… that would be something!

Interesting parenthetical. Are you implying the personal care spas are actually impersonal?

Aw….DD to shut down a store in Wellesley…who cares as the elitist demographics in Wellesley prefers Starbucks anyways! Who in town dares to be seen going in of out of a DD? After all, business is slow on the wknds as all enroute early to catch the ferry to Nantucket!

If DD served quality coffee and doughnuts it would be shame, otherwise close them all

I am A DD girl all the way. Starbucks and Petes coffee taste burnt to me. 6 DD stores is a bit excessive.

Where has our beautiful central street gone !!!! So many are commenting on the drabness of our street that welcomes people to our home town
Stores are leaving. As of tomorrow another will be gone We used to have flowers in front of the stores and hanging plants. The poles are gone for hanging but planters in front of stores could replace them. No wonder we have empty store fronts.
Let’s spruce things up and get life back onto our Main Street.
