Wellesley garden club wants to deck your halls for the holidays

November 2, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

Wellesley Gardeners’ Guild members will offer raffle tickets for its annual  “Deck the Halls” fundraiser outside of Roche Bros. on November 9th and 10th, 1pm – 4pm, or until the maximum of 300 raffle tickets available for $20 each have run out. Can’t make it to Roche Bros.? Track down a member of WGG. Each active member has a few tickets on hand.

There will be three raffle winners. The grand prize winner will have the exterior of their home decorated for the holidays; the next winner will receive two outdoor holiday planters for the home entrance; the next prize is a custom centerpiece for the table.

The raffle drawing will be held on November 13, and winners will be notified.

All raffle proceeds support WGG’s civic projects in town. WGG was established in 1968 and is a non-profit organization that contributes to the beautification of Wellesley. The club funds, plants, and maintains the window boxes and containers at the Post Offices and Main Library; funds seasonal plantings for both the Town Square Clock Garden and the Fells Market sitting area; and participates in the Museum of Fine Arts “Art in Bloom” event.

MORE ON THE PRIZES:

Grand Prize: Nature Works Landscape Services will decorate the home exterior for the Grand Prizewinner.

Second Prize: A Blade of Grass will create and deliver two outdoor holiday planters for the home entrance.

Third Prize: Custom centerpiece for their holiday table from Posies of Wellesley.
