The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club (WHJWC), a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to community service, is accepting applications for grants through February 1, 2020.
In the last five years, WHJWC has given away almost half a million dollars. In 2019, the Club awarded $70,069 across 36 grants to Wellesley and Metrowest organizations. The Club donates to a variety of educational, youth, elderly, civic and community programs. Particular emphasis is placed on those programs that have a significant impact on the Wellesley community.
In recent years, the Club restructured the Grants process, aiming to make a greater community impact through fully funding concrete programs. The Club will continue this approach for 2020.
Application forms can be downloaded online at www.whjwc.org. Completed applications should be sent by e-mail to the attention of Kelly Gay at [email protected] or if email is not possible mailed to WHJWC Grants, PO Box 81194, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481-0002.

About the Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club
The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club is a group of women who work side by side to make a meaningful difference in our community by raising money and giving time to help those in need. We create dynamic fundraising events that celebrate our community and tap into the generosity of those around us. With the money raised, we give scholarships to deserving high school students and we fund programs that make a positive impact in the community, such as an anti-bullying campaign for middle school students. We also volunteer with organizations that are making a real difference, giving our time to help children with special needs, the elderly and families in crisis.
The work that we do helps address some of the biggest challenges facing our society: mental health, hunger, access to education, poverty and domestic violence. And along the way, lasting friendships are created while we work side-by-side. In a world where problems are complex and the news is often bad, we’re making a measurable difference where we can — right here at home.
