A crowd of about 150 gathered in front of Wellesley Town Hall on Saturday afternoon to show and voice support for Asian and Asian American people in the face of hate crimes and racism. Among those attending the event were Wellesley Select Board members Tom Ulfelder and Lisa Olney. World of Wellesley co-president Nova Biro and State Sen. Becca Rausch spoke, as well as demonstrator Denise Pan, who told a moving story about how her younger brother had been bullied due to his race.
Three Wellesley police officers were present.
