Update (5/3/21):
The first place juried award winner is Kristin Conant for her painting Play Ball; second place winner is Chelsea Sebastian for her painting Beside Kilkern Barn; and third place winner is Dayle Bodnar for her painting Springtime Carpet. Honorable mention awards went to Beverley Barnard for The Close of the Day, to Anna Rejoyce for Backyard News and to Nancy Treves for Spring Showers.
The Wellesley Society of Artists online juried show, “Spring is in the Air,” is now open and will run until Sept. 1. Celebrating new beginnings, renewal and growth, the exhibition features the work of 46 exhibiting artists.
The judge for the show, teacher and artist Kathy Anderson, will designate first, second and third place awards as well as honorable mention awards. In addition, viewers of the exhibition will be invited to vote for their favorite painting. The artist whose painting receives the most votes will be awarded the People’s Choice Award.
