As Swellesley reader Suzy Littlefield put it, “There are swanky new drop offs for cell phones and eye glasses at the RDF, just before the clothing drop offs. Also the flag retirement box has moved from the book area over to the second recycling area next the these new cell phone and eye glasses drop off. Love the RDF, always finding ways to improve.”
I must have just missed this installation, or been oblivious to it. But while getting rid of our recycling on Monday I did witness a DPW worker nicely explaining to a patron the finer points of plastics recycling. Turns out a lot of people throw the wrong stuff into the plastics bins (he said black plastic, for example, like you see under rotisserie chickens, is trash).
