Congrats to those who took part in this past weekend’s steamy Pan-Mass Challenge cycling fundraiser, including those from Wellesley and who started and/or finished their rides at Babson College.
More than 100 Wellesley residents were among the 6,500 riders this August at the 45th Pan-Mass Challenge, which contributes tens of millions for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Among this year’s first-time riders was Ryan Loofbourrow, who rode with his dad, Tod, along a 50-mile route. Inspired by the cause, plus the sheer number of riders, volunteers, and spectators, he’s ready to sign up again for next year.
The Wellesley Police Department put its drone technology to work at the start at Babson.

I thoroughly enjoyed my second year, hot and humid as it was! In case you’re curious about the impact of an event like this: Dana-Farber is involved in more than 50% of the cancer treatments approved by the FDA, and the PMC is the institute’s largest donor. It fuels a lot of progress.
