The town of Wellesley will hold a Special Town Meeting on Monday, Oct. 21, 2024 at 7pm at the high school.

The warrant, which is the list of articles and motions Town Meeting members will discuss and vote on, is now open. It closes on Friday, Aug. 23 at noon.

Topics to be included in the warrant have been discussed by the Select Board (including at its Aug. 20 meeting… see Wellesley Media recording), the Planning Board, and others. Among other topics, Town Meeting will mulling proposed zoning updates to allow Wellesley to comply with the state’s MBTA Communities Act.

Citizens who would like to have an article included must submit a petition signed by at least 100 registered Wellesley voters by the Friday deadline. Signatures will be verified by the Town Clerk.

Once closed and signed by the Select Board, copies of the warrant will be posted online, at temporary Town Hall (888 Worcester St.), and the police station.
