One more new Wellesley traffic box painting

The traffic box at Linden Street and Crest Road has had a colorful makeover courtesy of artist Sarah Tomkins.

The new painting features a flowery and orangey design, replacing the pinks and purples of the previous townscape on that box.

The Town of Wellesley put out the call earlier this year for artists to apply to repaint a couple of the more than dozen traffic boxes across town.

The program, overseen by the Wellesley Public Art Committee and Wellesley Police Department, began in 2020.
