Papa Wheelies to close Wellesley location

September 12, 2024 by Deborah Brown

Papa Wheelies bike shop in Church Square announced on social media today that they are closing their Wellesley location.

The shop, which opened in Wellesley in spring of 2022 after relocating from Rte. 9 in Natick, has provided area cyclists with a full line of hybrid, mountain, electric and road bikes as well as accessories.

Here’s how they broke the news to their customers:

“…ownership at Papa wheelies has decided to close its Wellesley location and consolidate its efforts at its parent store in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Department objectives and group rides will finish out through the end of the month and maybe into the beginning of October. In the meantime, please feel free to come in, check out any inventory closure deals we may be offering and say goodbye as we part company. Sale details can be found on our website. With all that said…. most importantly, a sincere heartfelt and warm thank you from the staff at Papa Wheelie Wellesley! Thank you for allowing us to service your community and share with you our enthusiasm , experience and passion for everything bikes, for it is that is that passion that drives us to service you and do what we do! It’s those relationships created that is paramount with bikes as its core catalyst.”

We wish Papa Wheelies well as they continue to help cyclists find their perfect ride.
