Wellesley High field hockey starts season with shutout win

The Wellesley High School field hockey team kicked off its season at Sprague Field #3 on Tuesday afternoon with a 3-0 win over Weston High.

The speedy Raiders dominated play throughout the game, extending a 2-0 halftime lead with a final tally for good measure. Weston rarely mustered much offense.

The Raiders have the rest of their home games slated for the high school field, and will have two regular season night games, one vs. Natick High on Sept. 18 and another vs Brookline on Oct. 16. Both of those games are scheduled to start at 6pm.
