Wellesley needs a couple more Town Meeting members
From the Town of Wellesley:
Nominations are being accepted to fill two vacant Town Meeting member seats for the October Special Town Meeting.
There is one vacant seat in Precinct A and one vacant seat in Precinct E (see precinct map).
Any resident may propose candidates for these positions. Interested candidates must be registered voters in the precinct they wish to represent.
Nominations (name, address and email address if available) should be in writing or by email and the nominee’s permission should be secured in advance. Candidates may also nominate themselves.
Please send nominations to KC Kato, Town Clerk, at kckato@wellesleyma.gov or call 781-431-1019 ext. 2250. Nominations must be received by Monday. Sept. 16.
Current Town Meeting members in Precinct A and Precinct E will vote in a special election later this month to fill the vacant seats in those precincts.
The newly-elected Town Meeting members will participate in the 2024 Special Town Meeting that begins on October 21 and serve until the Annual Town Election in March 2025.
