Remembering Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7

Today, Saturday, Dec. 7 is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, which honors the those killed and injured during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey has ordered that the U.S. and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts flags be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings on on Dec. 7. Flags should be at half-staff from sunrise to sunset, according to Pete Jones, Wellesley American Post 72 Commander.

A Pearl Harbor Remembrance event is being held nearby at Natick’s Morse Institute Library on Dec. 7 from 1-3:30pm.
