The upcoming week will feature a variety of weather patterns, including some mild and windy days early in the week followed by a return to colder conditions with possible light snow midweek. Gusty winds on Tuesday may bring snow squalls in the morning, creating a brief period of reduced visibility and hazardous travel. By late week, arctic air returns with very cold wind chills. Stay prepared for changing conditions throughout the week.

Sunday, January 26:
Partly sunny, with a high near 38°F. Gusty southwest winds of 10-20 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph, may cause some branches to sway and make it feel colder than the actual temperature. Evening temperatures will fall to around 18°F under partly cloudy skies, with diminishing west winds at 10-15 mph.

Monday, January 27:
Mostly sunny, with a high near 36°F. Southwest winds at 10-20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph, will make it feel several degrees colder. Overnight, mostly clear skies will allow lows to dip to around 19°F. Winds will remain gusty, adding to the chill.

Tuesday, January 28:
A strong cold front moves through in the morning. Snow squalls are possible, particularly during the early morning commute, which could drop a quick coating to 1 inch of snow in as little as 15-30 minutes. Highs will reach 37°F but will feel much colder with west winds of 15-25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph. Overnight lows will drop to around 20°F, with wind chills in the single digits.

Wednesday, January 29:
Cloudy with a chance of light snow as a clipper system moves through. Accumulations of 1-2 inches are possible, especially in northern Massachusetts. Highs will be near 34°F. Overnight lows will fall to around 15°F under partly cloudy skies, with northwest winds of 10-15 mph adding to the chill.

Thursday, January 30:
Arctic air settles in. Mostly sunny but cold, with a high near 26°F. Northwest winds of 10-15 mph will result in wind chills in the single digits. Overnight, clear skies will allow temperatures to drop to around 5°F, with wind chills below zero.

Friday, January 31:
Sunny but bitterly cold, with a high near 22°F. Northwest winds of 10-15 mph will continue to produce sub-zero wind chills. Overnight temperatures will plummet to around 3°F under clear skies.
