After a quiet end to the week, all eyes are on a winter storm set to arrive late Saturday night, bringing a good chance for plowable snowfall across the area. While trends are favoring mostly snow, there’s still a small chance for some sleet or freezing rain to mix in. Once that system moves out, we’ll dry out to start the new workweek before another potential winter storm moves in by midweek. This second system is still uncertain in its track, but it’s something to keep an eye on. Temperatures will stay seasonably cold throughout the week, with highs mostly in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Friday, February 7:
A breezy but mostly sunny day with highs around 37°F. A west wind at 10 to 18 mph will bring gusts up to 33 mph, making it feel colder at times. By the evening, high pressure builds in, bringing partly cloudy skies as temperatures drop to around 18°F with west winds easing to 6 to 10 mph.

Saturday, February 8:
A quiet start to the weekend with mostly sunny skies and a high near 33°F. Winds will be light from the west at 6 to 8 mph. By Saturday night, the anticipated winter storm moves in, bringing snow after midnight that could be moderate to heavy at times. With a low around 22°F and light east winds, several inches of accumulation are possible overnight, though exact amounts are still uncertain.

Tuesday, February 11:
Clouds will increase ahead of the next potential winter system, with highs near 33°F and a light southwest breeze. By Tuesday night, another storm may impact the region, bringing the potential for accumulating snow. The exact track remains uncertain, but a low around 21°F and shifting winds suggest a developing coastal system that could bring another round of wintry weather.
