HARK! coming to Wellesley College

Wellesley College Theatre presents its Spring 2025 Mainstage Production HARK!, created and devised by Theatre Studies students. The general public and campus community are invited to performances on Saturday, April 26 (11am, 2pm, and 7pm) and Sunday, April 27 (11am and 2pm), in the Ruth Nagel Jones Theatre in Alumnae Hall at Wellesley College.

Created with young families especially in mind, HARK! invites audiences of all ages to explore what it’s like to be a human in nature. In a world facing environmental challenges and climate change, how do we connect with the ecosystem surrounding us? Through original songs, games, bubbles, stories, silliness, improvisation, imagination, and more, the HARK! ensemble will engage wee ones in questions about our shared world. Bring your toddlers and preschoolers.

HARK! runs approximately 50 minutes

Wellesley Media videographer partnered on ‘Retreat’ film

Wellesley Media videographer Paul Falcone over the past year has been working on a short film called “Retreat” with friend and fellow Rhode Island School of Design grad Mari SanGiovani. SanGiovani wrote and directed the film; Falcone was the cinematographer and editor.

The film has been winning short film recognitions, such as the New York International Film Awards for Best Acting Duo and a World Class Film Award for Best LGBTQ Film.

The film’s local premiere took place earlier this month at the Capitol Theatre in Arlington. Wellesley’s Rama K. Ramaswamy emceed a Q&A after the film showing.
