My name is Shrey Bhatia, a 6th-grade student at BB&N School in Cambridge and a resident of Wellesley. I am deeply committed to improving the lives of animals suffering in underserved regions around the world.
Recently, a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Mandalay, Myanmar, causing immense hardship for both people and animals. The local clinic of Let’s Save The Strays International, a Wayland-based nonprofit, was severely damaged. Despite losing their facility, the dedicated veterinary team continues to provide care to injured and displaced animals in extreme conditions.
In collaboration with Dr. Amy Shroff, Wayland resident and the founder of Let’s Save The Strays International, I am leading a fundraising initiative to support these relief efforts. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to supply emergency medical care, essential supplies, and ongoing Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return services for the affected animals.
