Wellesley weather forecast for April 18-25, 2025

weather consultingHere’s the updated daily weather forecast from Friday, April 18 to Friday, April 25 by Meteorologist Matthew Moll of New England Weather Consulting:

The region kicks off the weekend with a spring surge of warmth and wind as southwest flow dominates the pattern. Saturday may bring near-80°F warmth for some inland spots, followed by a cooldown Sunday behind a dry frontal passage. Next week begins quiet, though showers arrive Monday night into Tuesday with a passing low-pressure system. After that, sunshine and mild temperatures return to wrap up the week.

Friday, April 18 — Breezy and Mild:
High pressure exits early, allowing southwest winds to ramp up by midday. Expect increasing sun with highs reaching 66–68°F inland. Cape Cod, the South Coast, and Islands stay cooler—closer to 56–58°F—due to onshore flow. Southwest winds increase to 10–15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon. Friday night turns mostly cloudy as moisture increases aloft. A stray shower or rumble of thunder is possible after 11 p.m., particularly across northeastern MA. Most areas stay dry. Overnight lows around 52°F.

Saturday, April 19 — Summer Preview with Gusty Winds:
Southern New England finds itself firmly in the warm sector. Highs soar to 77–80°F across interior locations. A few lucky inland spots could even tag 82°F if morning clouds give way to sun. Breezes from the southwest at 12–18 mph may gust to 30–35 mph, especially across higher terrain. A very isolated early morning shower can’t be ruled out, but most of the day remains dry. Saturday night is partly to mostly cloudy, with a low around 55°F and a light west wind.

Sunday, April 20 — Breezy and Cooler:
A cooler, drier air mass filters in behind a weak frontal boundary. Mostly sunny skies return, but expect a drop in temperatures—highs in the low to mid 60s. Northwest winds increase through the day, gusting to 35–40 mph at times. Dry air dominates, and humidity levels dip into the 20–25% range. Fire weather concerns are possible if Saturday night showers underdeliver. Sunday night is partly cloudy and crisp with lows around 39°F.

Monday, April 21 — Bright Start, Clouds Late:
A pleasant start to the week. Mostly sunny skies early give way to increasing high clouds in the afternoon. Highs reach 61–63°F with light northwest winds shifting southeast by evening. Monday night turns mostly cloudy with a growing chance for showers after 11 p.m. Lows dip to around 45°F.

Tuesday, April 22 — Scattered Showers:
An upper-level disturbance crosses the region, bringing a round of light rain. Expect mostly cloudy skies with occasional showers, especially during the morning. Rainfall totals stay light—around 0.25” or less. Highs reach near 63°F with south winds shifting west late in the day. Tuesday night turns partly cloudy with a low near 45°F.

Wednesday, April 23 — Sunny and Warmer:
High pressure rebuilds. Expect a return to sunshine and comfortable spring air. Highs climb near 68°F with a light northwest breeze. Ideal outdoor weather. Clear to partly cloudy Wednesday night with a low around 47°F.

Thursday, April 24 — Mostly Sunny, Seasonably Warm:
A pleasant, dry day continues the midweek streak. Mostly sunny skies and highs near 69°F with a gentle south wind make for a classic late-April afternoon.

Friday, April 25 — Early Look: Increasing Clouds, Late-Day Shower Risk:
Clouds may build again by afternoon as another disturbance approaches. Most of the day stays dry with highs around 65–68°F. There’s a slight chance of showers by evening or overnight, but details remain uncertain at this range.
