Wellesley Public Schools announces last day of classes

Wellesley Public Schools Supt. David Lussier announced on Tuesday night during the School Committee meeting (see Wellesley Media recording) that the last day of classes will be Friday, June 20. It will be a half day.

The last day would have been on Thursday, June 19, but because that is the Juneteenth holiday, the last day gets moved to Friday.

The district is required to have 180 days of school, and only had one day of classes nixed this school year due to weather.

Wednesday, June 18 will be a full day for elementary school students.

Staff will be super psyched to finish the year on the following Monday, June 23.

Things start up again for students on Aug. 27.
