Thanks to Rebecca Delgado for this dispatch from Wellesley Parents of Performing Students (POPS).
On Saturday, May 31, 27 fifth and sixth graders from the Wellesley Public Schools joined 100 other singers from around our district to sing with the MMEA Eastern District Youth Treble Chorus. The concert was directed by Robert McFletcher-Jones, who is the conductor of In-School Programs for the Boston Children’s Chorus.

The singers met with their elementary school music teachers, as well as WMS Choral Director Lauren Connors, in order to prepare for the concert. They mastered the music in only a month’s worth of rehearsals, which is an impressive feat!
The Wellesley Parents of Performing Students (POPS) send a heartfelt congratulations to our accomplished young singers! We also are grateful for the musical dedication, expertise and mentorship of our amazing elementary and middle school teachers who coached our young students—Lauren Connors, Riley Granger, Ann Tomashefsky, Matthew Polletto, Kathryn Dexter, Julianne Verret and Thomas Corcoran! Bravo!
