Wellesley Grand Tour: Guided trail hike to cover 11 miles on June 14
Get ready to check off a Wellesley Trails milestone from your bucket list with this 11-mile hike that is about 75 percent off-road. The free guided walk led by the Wellesley Trails Committee is set for Saturday, June 14, from 8am-12:30pm.
Traverse five interconnected trails, including three stunning Greenway corridors: Fuller Brook Park, the Cochituate Aqueduct, and the Sudbury Aqueduct. The hike goes up and down, passes two golf courses, and borders the Charles River at points miles apart. This course has been a favorite of local cross country teams seeking variety on their runs.
This is a strenuous hike that will likely take 4 hours or more, including several rest breaks. Don’t forget your sturdy walking shoes and plenty of water.
Meet at the State Street Parking Lot (adjacent to the Wellesley High School track).
