Clean-up underway at 140 Weston Rd., in Wellesley
We received a couple of reports from readers, and later saw for ourselves, that the clean-up of the home at 140 Weston Rd., next to The Bristol condo complex appears to be in the works.
We’re not saying we definitely had anything to do with this development, but we did last month report on The Bristol’s neighboring home continuing to fall into disrepair, and the next thing you know…
The Bristol’s property owner also lays claim to 140 Weston Rd., and is supposed to be converting it into affordable housing units under an agreement with the town. Wellesley Executive Director Meghan Jop said during the June 5 Wellesley Housing Development Corp., meeting that the town had sent legal notice to the property owner regarding the dilapidated red house.
A reader this week noted a large van marked “Tree Services” parked in front of the house. Another wrote to say there was a dumpster on the site and that the front porch had been demolished.
People started moving into The Bristol condos last year.
