July Jubilation takes over Wellesley Square for a day of bargains and fun

The word is out—Wellesley Square‘s annual July Jubilation is the time when dozens of area merchants and service providers trot out their best bargains and get ready for the crowds to arrive. 2025 was no exception, and the people got what they came for.

At this high-summer event, part of Wellesley Square closes to traffic, tents are set up in the street, and the area fills with visitors from miles around. Savvy shoppers come for the deals. Families are there for the live music, the Bubble Zone, face painting and to dunk firefighters in the dunk tank.
