Wellesley middle school Girl Scouts is a small troop of 6th-8th grade girls who meet twice a month. At Sunday troop meetings, girls plan upcoming activities. On another weekend, the troop takes action within the community or we have fun trying something new. Girls come to whatever suits their schedule and interests.
In October, middle schoolers will join the high schoolers to lead archery and campfire cooking for younger Wellesley Girl Scouts. There is troop bonding at our November night climb, and during the holidays, the scouts sell cookies to fund our end of the year trip to Canobie Lake Park. The new year begins with girl-led community service. On the February half day Wednesday, the troop hosts an ice skating party at Babson. To brighten up March, the girls figure out some fun in Boston. Spring is tbd.
