Applications for the spring 2026 session of Youth in Philanthropy now open

November 7, 2025 by admin

Community Foundation for MetrowestDo you know a high school student looking to make a meaningful impact in their community? Applications are now open for the spring 2026 Youth in Philanthropy program.

Youth in Philanthropy is an experiential leadership development program offered by the Community Foundation for MetroWest designed to empower and educate local youth to become our community’s next generation of philanthropists and community activists.

Participants can look forward to:

  • Gaining knowledge, confidence and skills to take on leadership roles
  • Making a positive impact in your community while teaming up with other students from across MetroWest
  • Visiting local organizations, learning more about community needs, and granting money to area nonprofits serving youth
  • Making funding decisions that matter

High school students who live or learn in MetroWest can participate in YIP at no cost this spring in Wellesley and Framingham. Students should expect to commit about 1.5 hours weekly to this program over the course of the semester (~17 weeks). More information here about locations and class schedules.

Classes begin the week of January 12, 2026. The Wellesley sessions will take place on Tuesdays at the Community Fund for Metrowest, 3 Eliot St., Natick. The Framingham sessions will take place at the Metrowest YMCA, 280 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham.

Apply now. Spots fill up fast!
