Wellesley High School hosts Needham High School for the annual Thanksgiving morning football game on Nov. 27 at 10am in what will be the 138th edition of the longest-running public high school rivalry.
Tickets cost $15 apiece and are available this week at the Athletic Department office at Wellesley High School (50 Rice St.). You can get them at the gate on game day as well, but organizers would prefer to get as many pre-sales as possible to smooth entry on Thanksgiving.
The Raiders went 5-5 this year, with one win in the playoffs before succumbing to Catholic Memorial. The Needham Rockets are 3-7 this year, though have won the past two Thanksgiving matchups vs. Wellesley.
Bidding for VIP treatment
Fans looking to spice up their Thanksgiving game experience, fans are invited to bid on watching from the Roche Bros. Sideline VIP Suite.
The WHS Gridiron Club is auctioning off access to the suite, a warm, dry, and exceptionally comfortable spot positioned on the Raiders’ sideline. Outfitted with seating for six, the suite offers an up-close, field-level view.

The winners also will get 2 VIP parking spots, 6 tickets to the game, a Raiders swag bag, and enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast, along with light snacks and treats.
All proceeds from the auction directly support the WHS Raider Football Program, helping fund equipment, training opportunities, and team needs throughout the season.
