New Wellesley School Committee, Natural Resources Commission candidates pull papers
With the deadline for pulling papers for Wellesley town-wide election seats just a week away, a couple more candidates have recently made their intentions known.
To date, potential candidates have pulled papers for all offices other than Board of Health, which has one three-year term available. Not all candidates have returned papers for certification. The election is scheduled for March 3.
Ayla Lari has pulled papers to become a candidate for School Committee, which has two open seats for the March 3 town election. Michael Cave previously declared his intent to run.
The terms for Sharon Clarke and Christina Horner expire in March.
Joe Schott, who has been active as a resident and neighbor in town discussions involving proposals at Morses Pond, has pulled papers to become a candidate for the Natural Resources Commission, which has two three-year terms up for grabs. Melinda Arias-Voci earlier pulled papers.
Terms for NRC members Michael D’Ortenzio and Jay McHale expire in March.
Nomination papers are available at the Town Clerk’s Office. Papers for town-wide offices must be pulled by Jan. 9 and Town Meeting member papers must be pulled by Jan. 23. More information on requirements can be found on the town website.
