Memorial Day closures: All Wellesley municipal buildings and offices, and Wellesley Public Schools will be closed on Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. Regular business hours, and classes, resume on Tuesday.
The Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF) is closed on Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25.
Library closures: Libraries will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 23-25, 2026 for Memorial Day Weekend.
Annual Memorial Day ceremony: On Saturday, May 30 the community is invited to attend the Town Memorial Day ceremony.
The originally scheduled ceremony at Woodlawn Cemetery has been canceled due to rain.
The 7:30pm formal observance will be held inside Town Hall in the Great Hall on the second floor rather than outside at the War Memorial in front of Town Hall. The program will be abbreviated due to the change in location.
This location is ADA accessible through both the front door on Washington Street and the back door for any Veterans who plan to attend.
Thank you to volunteers from the Friends of Wellesley Veterans, Wellesley High School lacrosse team, and Scout Troop 185 and leaders for their help replacing American flags on Veteran graves in preparation for Memorial Day.
Town Hall summer hours: Wellesley Town Hall moves to summer hours this month. From Friday, May 29-Friday, September 4, hours of operation for all Town Hall departments are: Monday through Thursday from 8am-5pm, and Fridays, 8am-noon
