QB Prock commits to Indiana

Lukas Prock, the former Wellesley High School student-athlete who quarterbacked for the Raiders in 2024 and now attends the Hun School in Princeton, NJ., has committed to play football in 2028 at Indiana University, which is coming off its national championship season.

The rising junior had a huge season for Hun last year, throwing for 4,330 yards and 41 touchdowns, averaging 360.8 yards per game.

Harvard hires Spencer as assistant track/field coach

Amber Spencer, a 2010 Wellesley High graduate, has been named assistant track & field coach at Harvard University for men’s and women’s sprints, hurdles and horizontal jumps. She’s been an assistant for Babson College’s track & field team for about a dozen years.

Wellesley High alum’s documentary previewed at NBA Summer League fest

2019 Wellesley High alum Alex Stoddard’s documentary on Terrence Clarke, the Boston basketball player who died as a young man in a car crash shortly before the 2021 NBA draft, recently was previewed during the NBA Summer League Film Festival. Not only that, it was recognized as the Best Documentary Short at the festival.

The documentary “The Kid From Boston,” which is in production, is based on 100 interviews and counting about the former University of Kentucky player, known for both his serious basketball talent and infectious personality.
