Our take, April 2014: Open for about 18 months now, this burrito place has transcended its initial problems with long wait times and staffing issues. Boloco has settled into its groove and now reliably puts together your order quickly and with black beans when you say black beans and no lettuce when you say hold the lettuce. My Bangkok Thai burrito had a nice spicy kick to it from the peanut sauce, and the soyberry shake wasn’t overly sweet. In a time of supersize portions, it’s a plus that you can get a small (they call it “mini”) that’s really a small and an original (I call it “large”) that will satisfy a big appetite.
There’s an outdoor seating area that should be lovely if the temperature ever gets about 45 degrees. DB
Our take, February 2013: During a February 2013 visit, our order of a Memphis BBQ burrito and a Cookie Monster smoothie was ready in three minutes. The coleslaw in the burrito gave it a nice crunch, and the skim milk and non-fat yogurt in the smoothie probably made up in virtue for the chocolate chip cookies in there. DB
