Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

‘A Journey through the Roots of American Popular Music’ at Wellesley Free Library
Jon and Li Waterman will perform “A Journey through the Roots of American Popular Music” at Wellesley Free Library at 530 Washington St. in Wellesley on Sunday, April 19 at 2pm.
The program consists of original songs and history, and explores some of the fascinating characters and events at the roots of the blues, country, rock and other genres of American popular music.
The show also touches on the darker side of American popular music as well as how music helps shape our identity as a people. Songwriters and musicians Jon and Li Waterman have performed their music and history programs in venues throughout New England as part of a series called Live Music Making History Live.
This library program is supported in part by a grant from the Wellesley Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
