Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

Art in the Park public quilting project
October 2, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Art in the Park returns to Simons Park (next to the Wellesley Free Library) on Saturday. Oct. 2, 2021 from 12-3pm.
This year’s project involves the community making a quilt using colorful discarded fabric samples, scissorsand glue. Participants will create small rectangular collage samplers that will beassembled on-site into a series of panels destined for display in storefronts around town.
Art in the Park was launched in 2013 as a free annual event with the idea of building community through making art. In previous years, visitors have painted recycled record albums, woven fabric onto discarded picture frames, and created a large-scale sculpture from painted scrap wood.
All materials are provided at the event and no experience is necessary.
The Steering Committee recognizes the event’s many local supporters, including: Art Wellesley, Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club, Wellesley’s Natural Resources Commission, Wellesley Parents Supporting Art Students, Wellesley Women Artisans, and Wellesley Cultural Council.
