Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.

Building a Better Wellesley meeting with guest Tom Taylor, Planning Board chair
September 17 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Building a Better Wellesley will hold its next meeting on Sept. 17 at 4:30pm via Zoom (register).
One key driver of housing is zoning, which is overseen by Wellesley’s Planning Board. Zoning determines what can be built on each parcel of land. With most of Wellesley zoned for single-family homes, and very little undeveloped land, most multi-family housing projects will require a parcel to be rezoned from single-family. Are there zoning changes on this year’s Planning Board agenda? At this month’s meeting, we are going to sit down with Tom Taylor, Chair of the Wellesley Planning Board. What would he like to accomplish during his term? What ideas does he have for creating affordable housing in Wellesley? Join us for a discussion of housing priorities and the articles that the Planning Board has placed on the Warrant for Special Town Meeting.
Please send tips, photos, ideas to theswellesleyreport@gmail.com
